Board statement on the release of the final report of the Federal Advisory Committee on the Auditing Profession
Washington, DC, September 26, 2008 – Today, the U.S. Treasury Department’s Advisory Committee on the Auditing Profession adopted its final report. As an observer to the Advisory Committee, the PCAOB monitored the committee’s work.
The PCAOB welcomes the Treasury report and will carefully consider those recommendations that may have an impact upon the Board’s oversight of the auditors of U.S. public companies.
