Sarah Williams, Deputy Director, Registration
Ms. Williams joined the PCAOB in May 2003 as an Associate Director in the Division of Registration and Inspections, and was named as Deputy Director, Registration, in March 2007. She began her career as an associate at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Arnold & Porter, and subsequently joined the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a staff attorney. She became a Branch Chief in the division, and thereafter served as Counsel to an SEC Commissioner. Prior to joining the PCAOB, Ms. Williams worked as an Associate General Counsel at the National Association of Securities Dealers, where she drafted rules, interpretive guidance and policy positions concerning the regulation of broker-dealers.
Ms. Williams received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, and received her Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.
