Ron Boster, Special Advisor to Board Member Bill Gradison

Prior to joining the PCAOB in January 2003, Mr. Boster headed his own consulting firm and was vice president at the Committee for Economic Development. Most of Mr. Boster’s professional career was spent on Capitol Hill where he held senior positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, including chief of staff to three members of Congress and senior economist and executive staff director of the Budget Committee.

Mr. Boster has been an adjunct professor at Virginia Tech’s Center for Public Administration and Policy since 1985 and has taught graduate courses on policy analysis there and at Johns Hopkins. He served as a member of the Board of Advisors for Virginia Tech’s Northern Virginia Graduate Center. He is an elected Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration where he has been a senior research consultant on several congressionally mandated studies.

Mr. Boster received undergraduate and masters degrees from The Ohio State University and a doctorate from the University of Arizona, where he taught economics. He completed senior management training at Harvard’s Kennedy School and the Federal Executive Institute.
